Inspiring educational programs
Logan Art Gallery’s inquiry-based education program is delivered by experienced educators and artists incorporating the art processes of exploring, developing, sharing, and responding. Complement your tour of current exhibitions by taking a practical workshop. Logan Art Gallery has a purpose-built and well-equipped workshop space for practical artmaking sessions for all school levels.
Guided tours and practical workshops for schools
Logan Art Gallery arts educators and/or exhibiting artists will provide free talks and tours relating to the current exhibition for schools and community groups.
Should you wish to enhance your experience with a practical activity in the Gallery’s workshop, all practical activities, including materials, are provided free of charge.
We welcome all year levels and abilities from prep classes, primary, high schools, and tertiary levels. Bookings can be flexible and tailored to suit the needs of the group. Bookings are essential.

Logan-based schools Visual Art teachers can attend free professional development workshops offered by Logan Art Gallery once per term. Our professional development programs are based upon the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and delivered by contemporary artists and experienced educators.

Take away school holiday activity packs
Take away art activity packs are often available during school holiday periods. Drop into Logan Art Gallery and collect your free school holiday pack inspired by the current exhibitions. The packs include art materials, equipment and activity sheets for hands-on art-making activities, and are designed for children of all ages. Limited stock is available. Young Peoples Gallery
The Young Peoples Gallery showcases exhibitions for young people or by young people and provides fun, interactive activities for younger visitors. You can often see exhibitions of artwork by talented individuals and/or students from schools in the region. If you are interested in exhibiting your student’s work in the Young Peoples Gallery contact artgallery@logan.qld.gov.au
