Adult Workshop: Create your own artist book with Rosie Lloyd-Giblett

Rosie Lloyd-Giblett is an environmental artist who creates En Plein Air works. Her exhibition is inspired by time spent at Eagleby wetlands observing birds, flora and fauna of the region. These are translated into expressive drawings, collages, and artists’ books. Construct an artist book or assemblage that honours the local landscape and its inhabitants. This activity will connect to the birds and trees from within the Logan Region and Southeast QLD. The workshop will include developing basic sculptural techniques of concertina folding, fringing and “wild” tearing to create free-standing artworks. Create an artwork that highlights the patterns of leaves, trees, bark, flowers, local birds, and their feathers.
