Rae Leigh is a versatile singer-songwriter, actor, and advocate renowned for her emotive performances and philanthropic work. Since her impactful debut at the 50th Anniversary of the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2022, Rae has continued to captivate audiences with her soulful voice and evocative storytelling. Her career highlights include headlining the Groundwater Country Music Festival and appearing on NBC Universal’s ‘Young Rock’. Her single “Push Em Up Jill” topped the Australian National Country Radio Airplay charts. Rae is also the founder of the Songwriter Trysts podcast, which has over 260 episodes featuring prominent artists. Committed to mentorship and community support, Rae has performed for the Queensland Police and Emergency Services and various charities. With an upcoming EP and a role in the PPCA Observership program, Rae Leigh remains a dynamic and influential figure in the music industry.
Delilah Rose combines ’70s-style bluesy burlesque swamprock with country rock influences, delivering energetic live shows with costumes, dance, tassels, and boots. Her single “Thin Black Line” topped the AMRAP charts, praised by Triple J’s Zan Rowe. Delilah was a semi-finalist for Unsigned Only and made the Top 30 for WAM Song of the Year 2022. Her previous band, Delilah Rose & the Gunslingers, won Best Group at the WA Country Music Awards. She has performed at numerous festivals, including Wave Rock Weekender and Country Sounds Festival, and supported Troy Cassar-Daley. Delilah’s performances are known for their high energy and engaging style.
Sue Ray, winner of the 2022 Blues’n’Roots QMusic award, is a First Nations artist celebrated for her authentic blend of country, blues, and roots music. Known for her smoky, rich voice and charismatic performances, Sue captivates a diverse fanbase. She skillfully transitions from foot-stomping tunes to delicate, emotional ballads, often involving audience participation. Sue has received three QMusic awards and multiple nominations, including Best Country Album at the AIR Independent Music awards. Her accolades also include Female Artist of the Year at the 2012 QMusic awards and Most Promising New Talent at the Deadly Awards. Sue’s dynamic stage presence and musical prowess make her a standout performer in any lineup.
Jacquie Joy is an HMMA and HIMA nominated film composer and sound designer, known for her work on TV shows like Bondi Rescue and the indie film ‘Double or Nothing’. Starting her career in the Brisbane and Gold Coast duo ‘Holly and the Hitman’, Jacquie later ran ‘The Wedding Singer’ live music service. Though now focused on composition, she occasionally performs live, sharing crowd favourites. For the Mamas in Music event, she will be joined by her teenage son Cameron on vocals, adding a special touch to her performance. Jacquie’s diverse talents and experience make her a respected and versatile artist in the music industry.
