Our key venues for arts and culture offer year-round cultural experiences.
Born in the leafy green suburbs of Melbourne, Australia; and with vocal harmonies reminiscent of ’60s bands Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and The Beatles, TAXIRIDE ft TIM WATSON, TIM WILD, SEAN MCLEOD, ANDY MCIVOR & RIPLEY SMITH, blend retro sensibility with modern style.
Crafted over two years in Melbourne and Los Angeles, their debut album ‘Imaginate’ debuted at Number 1 on the Australian Music Charts. It launched 4 singles including the memorable ‘Get Set’ and ‘Everywhere You Go’ (the most-played Australian song on radio for 2000 – written by Tim Wild and Tim Watson).
The second album ‘Garage Mahal’ contained their biggest hit ‘Creepin’ Up Slowly’ (written by Brain, Young and Taxiride) which was the most-played song on radio for 2002 and featured a further 2 hit singles. TAXIRIDE achieved Top 30 status in the States and subsequently toured the US, Japan and Europe. A 10-year hiatus saw TAXIRIDE ft TTSAR reform in 2015 with a limited run of shows. TAXIRIDE ft TTSAR now returns in 2025 with new live shows featuring faithful renditions of their hits plus their favourite album tracks. A must for lovers of harmony and infectious pop.

Support act, TEAR DRIVE, is an Alternative Rock Band from Meanjin/Brisbane, formed by long-time friends in January 2024. Their sound fuses dark, Sinatra-esque vocals with expansive, distortion-heavy soundscapes – layering screeching guitar feedback and atmospheric synthesisers to create something both raw and immersive. The band has quickly become one of Brisbane’s most anticipated live acts, selling out their headline shows. Following the release of their debut single Nothing’s Gonna Save You in November, the band are now gearing up for their next release.
